Shoutout to this sweet crew who rolled into Gyppo last Wednesday after hiking the Lost Coast Trail—25 miles of tide timing, sandy slogs, and wild, soul-stretching beauty. It was one of those Shelter Cove scorchers, and I caught them with their backs to the sun, tired in that way only hikers know. We rolled up the garage doors, let the ocean breeze do its thing, and after fumbling through the Polaroid like it was rocket science, we got their photo up on the wall. It’s one of our favorite traditions—welcoming folks straight from the trail with cold beer, scratch-made food, and a place to just be.
