The Realest Thing I Can Say About Mother’s Day
We're Open, But I’m Choosing Her
I could pack the taproom. I could plan a big event. I could make more money this Sunday than most. But I won’t. Because being a business owner means I give 24/7, 365—my time, my energy, my attention. And being a mother means I’ve already let go of more than I ever expected. This little girl in the photo? She made me a mom. She’s taller now. Lord she is sassier! Her world’s bigger. And my time with her as a “little” is running out. So on Mother’s Day, I’m choosing her. Quietly, completely, and without guilt. We’re open—11 to 9, kitchen till 8—but I’ll be somewhere holding onto what matters most.
👉 However you spend the day, I hope you get to choose what you need.
