Some birthdays call for cake—this one called for a challenge. When we got a request for homemade tiramisu, we hit a roadblock: nowhere to be found ladyfingers or mascarpone. But in true Lost Coast fashion, the community stepped in. Black Sands Bistro had exactly what we needed and even threw in some pro tips to make sure this dessert was something special.
With golden, farm-fresh eggs from French Ranch Farm, we layered up a rich, silky, and perfectly balanced tiramisu—just sugar, yolks, mascarpone, ladyfingers, and strong coffee. A one-time creation, made from scratch, with the help of the people who make this place home. That’s the Lost Coast.
